Facilities

Catherine Steele Sewell Stadium
The Catherine Steele Sewell Stadium is our newest athletic facility completed in August 2015. This multi-purpose facility is home to our football, soccer, track, and lacrosse teams, as well as our Soaring Eagle Marching Band. Located in the stadium, the Yake Sports Medicine Center provides an area for treatment and assessment for student-athletes. As is MPC tradition, varsity football enters the stadium through the Pugmire Eagle Walk and touches the Eagle statue donated by the Roukoski family.

Knox Athletic Performance Center
The “Knox” is the centerpiece for all MPC athletic teams. Our commitment to strength, fitness, and agility is essential for student athletic development. This fitness and training center features: the Johnson Indoor Training Facility with indoor turf, the Shoch Strength and Conditioning Facility with weight and conditioning equipment, PT Solutions athletic training center, locker rooms, instructional space, coaches’ offices, and sports equipment rooms; the “Knox” is accessible to every student-athlete on campus.

Adair Gymnasium
Adair Gymnasium is located in the Mulkey Building. Used primarily for preschool and lower school physical education classes, the gym also serves as a practice and game court for middle and high school athletics.

Stephen A. Werner Athletic Complex
The baseball/softball complex is comprised of baseball, softball, and practice fields, plus a covered, state-of-the-art William Andrew Spinks Batting Facility, multi-purpose field house, press box, and concession stand. The varsity baseball field was turfed in 2021 with state-of-the-art TruHop technology, bullpens with both turf and dirt, and enhanced with the addition of the Charmax Building locker room and storage facility.

Hughes Gymnasium
Hughes Gymnasium seats 950 and is home to our four volleyball teams, 10 basketball teams, and two wrestling squads. Located in the Mulkey Building, the Hughes Gymnasium also is used for daily physical education classes and school assemblies.

Janas Tennis Complex
The Janas Tennis Complex is located in the center of campus. Four beautiful courts along with shaded spectator seating compliment the campus landscape.

Middle School Baseball Field and Practice Fields
In addition to our main competition facilities, we also have two large practice fields and a dedicated middle school baseball field. The practice fields are used by soccer, lacrosse, and marching band.

Jordan Field
Jordan Field serves as a multi-purpose game and practice field for lacrosse, soccer, and football. The turf TruHop surface is engineered for performance and safety. The facility offers a baseball/softball practice lane and lacrosse shooting wall.
